Project summary

A Construction & Project Management practicum within T1 Project Services, from June to August 2026, with most of my time assigned to the GBTH Incubator Space — a live restaurant and hospitality fit-out involving multiple trades, consultants and suppliers.

The progression through the practicum was observe → understand → contribute → verify → coordinate → be trusted. Final evaluation: 93.7 / 100, with a recommendation for future field-related opportunities.

Verification, reporting and issue escalation

My responsibility grew from observation and report support into direct site verification and progress updating. I obtained trade updates, checked whether activities were actually complete on site, updated tracker remarks and documented issues for the project team.

Balance of Works. Updated and submitted the multi-level Balance of Works tracker on the basis of direct site verification and trade progress updates. The tracker covered architectural, electrical, mechanical, fire-protection, CCTV/FDAS, kitchen, gas-line and other fit-out activities.

Incident documentation. Prepared and submitted formal incident reports for a trench-drain and floor-chipping issue, and for a rainwater-leakage condition, supported by photographs, observations, preliminary assessments and recommended follow-up.

Professional judgement. Observe → question → document → escalate → coordinate → follow up. I learned to identify abnormal conditions without drawing technical conclusions beyond my authority.

Irish Pub — existing condition to design proposal

As a secondary assignment I documented and measured Greenbelt Townhomes units proposed for conversion into an Irish pub, surveying walls and room dimensions, pipelines, gas lines, electrical lines and boxes, FDAS, sprinklers, visible building services and site constraints. I independently translated the field measurements into the shared AutoCAD shell plan the interns used as their common base.

From that base I developed a three-level traditional Irish pub concept focused on maximising seating while retaining comfortable walkways and recognisable pub characteristics, including snug seating areas, and presented the layout and concept individually to a T1 Director. The proposal was a study; it was not built or selected.
